Founding libraries — first 10
Help us get this right, and we will look after you
The first ten libraries to join get their first year at A$60 whatever their size, onboarding and training included at no charge, and a direct line to us with your requests at the top of the queue. Full export is not a founding perk — every library can take their data with them, any time, at no charge.
In return we would ask to name you as a founding library, and to occasionally point a curious committee your way. Your catalogue also helps every library that comes after you — once a toy has been described, nobody has to describe it again.
Questions
What counts as an “active member household”?
A household that has borrowed at least one toy in the previous twelve months. Borrowing is the only test: a household that has not borrowed in that time is not counted, whether they never started or have since drifted away. We work it out on your renewal date and it is fixed for the whole year — so the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Why per household and not per person?
Because the household holds the membership. One family, one membership, one charge — however many parents, carers, or children are on it.
What if our library is very small?
Everyone pays at least A$60 a year, which covers up to 20 active households. If you are smaller than that, A$60 is what you pay. We would rather be upfront that there is a floor than surprise you with it later.
What if our library is very large?
At today's pricing nobody pays more than A$600 a year. Above 200 active households the extra households are free, so growing your membership does not cost you more.
How do we pay? We do not have a credit card.
Bank transfer is fine, and it is what most libraries use. We send a proper tax invoice with a due date and a purchase-order field for your treasurer, and you pay it however suits your committee. A card is an option, never a requirement.
Is there a setup or contract fee?
No. No setup fee, no annual contract fee, no per-volunteer charges, and no charge to bring your data across from SeTLS or MiBase.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You take it with you. A complete export of your members, toys, loans, and financial history in a documented format, at any time, at no charge. Being able to leave is the main reason to trust us with the data in the first place.
