This engaging set of realistic bug stones supports hands-on exploration of the natural world, allowing children to closely observe familiar insects without them moving away. Featuring detailed textures on both sides, the stones encourage children to examine, compare and discuss the characteristics of each bug, supporting early science understanding and descriptive language. Ideal for use in outdoor environments, the durable resin and stone mix allows the bugs to be used in mud, sand, water or soil. Children can take them on bug hunts, create imprints in modelling clay or use wax rubbings to capture their details. Includes eight double-sided bug stones, each measuring approximately 70–80mm, featuring an ant, beetle, butterfly, centipede, dragonfly, ladybird, spider and woodlouse.
