Privacy Policy — Toy Library Exporter (SeTLS & MiBase)
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This browser extension helps a toy library export its own data from its
SeTLS instance (*.setls.com.au) or MiBase instance (*.mibase.com.au
/ *.mibase.co.nz) to a .zip file on the user's computer, for
migration or backup. It is made by ToyHive, toy library
software for Australia and New Zealand.
What the extension accesses
When you click the extension while signed in to your SeTLS or MiBase admin, it reads the
pages your account can already see — members, loans, transactions, toys, settings and photos
— by making requests in your existing logged-in session. Toy photos and the
library logo are fetched from the image hosts the source system uses (the SeTLS or MiBase
domains above and, for SeTLS, Amazon S3, *.amazonaws.com).
What it does with that data
All processing happens locally, in your browser. The collected data and
photos are written to a .zip file that downloads to your computer. You choose
what to do with that file.
What it does NOT do
- It does not send your data to the extension's developer or to any third-party server — not even to ToyHive.
- It does not use analytics, tracking, advertising, or cookies of its own.
-
It does not access any site other than
*.setls.com.au,*.mibase.com.au,*.mibase.co.nzand the Amazon S3 image hosts. - It does not run in the background — it acts only when you click it and start an export.
Data retention
The extension stores nothing itself. The only output is the .zip you download,
which lives on your computer under your control. Uninstalling the extension removes it
entirely.
Permissions, explained
-
activeTab— to read the address of the SeTLS or MiBase tab you're on so the export targets the right library. Access is granted only when you click the extension. -
Host access to
*.setls.com.au— to read your library's own SeTLS pages in your session. -
Host access to
*.mibase.com.auand*.mibase.co.nz— to read your library's own MiBase pages in your session. -
Host access to
*.amazonaws.com— to download your library's toy photos and logo, which SeTLS serves from Amazon S3 (bucket/region hostnames vary, so a narrower pattern can't match them all).
